For the hammocks, if you examine them you can view their occupant’s belongings. Here are some hints for those belongings:

Cook book

This likely belongs to the cook

Handkerchief with C.D.

Is there someone whose initials are C.D.?

Cough syrup

Has someone been coughing?

Watch key

Who owns a watch and sleeps in the Mess?

Left-handed scissors

Is someone left-handed? (Pay attention to the ale mugs)

Sage under hammock

Someone mentioned that they were burning sage under their hammock.

Blue Cards and Red Cards

Whose cards are they playing with in the Mess? What color are they? Someone mentioned not being able to play with their own deck because some of its cards are missing.

And then you can get the last one by elimination. If you need more help, there’s a walkthrough in the downloads which gives the answers. :)
