ha ha, well spotted, I was going to write a dev log about it. I decided to cut him even though I like him. Do you miss him or was it a good call?

I'm still on the fence. Since I haven't won the game yet I don't know if he was messing up the game challenge you wanted. I clearly would like to be able to double my coins, but I can see how that might make the game too easy. I'm interested in reading the dev log.

It is not so much the challenge that is a problem. Managing to give the goblin a large amount and being able to double it is really hard so if you pull it off you deserve a great score. The dev log is posted now. https://papaquark.itch.io/grail-dungeon/devlog/936558/kill-your-darlings

Ah! I didn't realize that he took your gold at first...Like you said it isn't the easiest thing to land on him.
