This quote heavily applies in game development too...
I genuinely hope for the best for this game but someone needs to say this...
At the rate the development is going, I'm sorry but the game will never be finished, or IF it does it will take 10 or more years to finish the game. At that point, burnout would've already set in, new technological innovations are already available, newer and more refined similar games would've been out, and so much of the original vision would've been compromised already. The Dev then gets demoralized/unmotivated while he gets stuck on a constant cycle of iteration... And the donors will eventually feel like they're being con'd/scammed at that point. I've seen this pattern in the indie game scene countless times already, and this has similar markings for it...
