I was really impressed with this game!! It seems like not a lot of people played it, they are missing out!
First of all some criticism: The optimization is really bad, I had to use my big ass gaming pc to play it and it wouldnt run on my laptop which shouldnt be the case for such a game. Also I had sudden crashes, which was kind of frustrating when I had a high score and 5 more batteries ready to load up, only for the game to crash. Other than that I would highly suggest putting some sort of crosshair sprite (with a bright color like red or green) at the mouse position and then hiding the mouse, as I sometimes lost my mouse in the mess. Also pressing "E" to load up the batteries wasnt obvious to me, I found it out because it is often used to interact in games but at first I thought I was doing something wrong or I had to find a drop off zone. Another thing is the battery spawns, they seem to spawn around the player so sometimes moving around a lot wasnt as good as just staying in one general area. Also the instructions only flash for a short amount of time so I only understood I had to physically load the batteries at the reactor later and had to guess that it was "E" (unless I missed something). It would be better to just put them in the main menu screen or the death screen again so you can take your time to understand the game, because it is worth it!
The game was really fun, one of the most enjoyable games I played out of the submissions. Getting a highscore was fun and challenging. I feel like the difficulty was really well judged. I was sometimes frantically looking for another battery and then loading it up while holding on for dear life as robots came from all sides. The shooting felt responsive and powerful and the robots werent too strong and not too weak, kind of just right. You could have just made the batteries drop like ammo but that not being the case (very GOOD choice) added a lot of depth, you killed robots for ammo and looked around for batteries. Truly a fun game, great job, I hope some more people might try this game tomorrow!
