I have another question, it's related to the mass mc drawing I'm doing. I want to draw my mcs interacting with yours, but, I don't want to mischaracterize them. Also I'm practicing more expressions, so yeah.

You can yap, and how do you think your mcs would interact with mine?

For reference, Xipil will not talk to anyone. She can talk, and used to ramble, but due to past bullying incidents (the scar on her cheek, the bullies wanted to get her to shut up), she has opted to go mute. She is very polite, and shows it through actions. The only way she makes friends is with her special rock collection, dubbed "Frienship Rocks". She got this from penguins, since that's how they court. But she doesn't know this and thought that's how they made friends. So if she gives you a rock, she wants to be your friend.

Metztli is very confident and is actually pretty serious. Befriending her is kind of hard because she's not used to people wanting to be her friend. She's very blunt too, and her need to be perfect gets in the way of her actually being nice. But if you're her friend, she will be very protective of you.

Quetzalli is very flighty. She will often run away or freeze, purely because she doesn't know how to speak to people. Like Xipil, she was made fun of for wanting to be a captain, and her rants on ships. It's worse if she finds someone pretty/handsome, because she knows she's awkward and doesn't want to embarrass herself in front of them. If you were to attempt to talk to her, just hand her something she can fidget with (like a stick), and she'll stay and let you talk to her. Just don't mind her slight stutter and frantic nods, she's trying her best to speak. She'll also squeak when caught off guard, but if you're friend, she'll refer to you as first mate.

Bacon is kind of the opposite of your mc’s he’s extremely extroverted and friendly.. So he would likely be able to get along with Xipil even if she doesn’t talk much as he doesn’t really mind. He could likely get along with Metztli if they realized that because of his mental disabilities, he likely doesn’t mean her any harm. Quetzalli on the other hand, would be completely overwhelmed by him.

Sin is can definitely get along with Xipil, they’re no stranger to befriending quiet kids, and would definitely step in to do the talking for her. Sin may be outgoing but they do know how to dial their energy back so they’d likely act more calmly around Queztalli and act kind of like a kind big sibling. Sin is a master at understanding people. They’d probably faili to talk to Metztli several time, before she realized that Sin actually wants to be friends.

Kathryne, doesn’t start any conversations herself until step 3 due to not speaking English. She and Xipil would likely have to be introduced by Qiu and Tamarack and it would be very awkward. I feel like they’d get along though, even if they never speak. She and Metztli could probably be friends, I’d feel like Metztli would start talking to KitKat and overtime, they become friends, even if Kathryne can’t tell her that. Xipil and KitKat would have a very awkward relationship, Kathryne would probably scare her off at first due to her cold nature. But Quetzalli would likely start ranting about ships one day when she sees a picture of Kathryne from when she was still in Greenland since nearly all towns are along the coast.

Zephyr is kinda adaptable so he would be awkward with Xipil but still give a slight smile and guide the conversation as long as Xipil is comfortable with it ( while hoping someone they're both friends with comes by).

With Metztli I feel like he'd ask just the right question to make her rant about something while nodding and open smiling.

And with Quetzalli he'd probably give her a candy or some snack, maybe sit in silence afterwards until he asks to play something.

For El, he doesn't talk directly to whoever it is during first meetings until he finds them somewhat trustable. After that he's kinda like a comfort friend, anyone can lean on him (shorty) and he doesn't mind being left out of conversation as long as he's present.

YAYAYAY!!! Ive been WAITING to explore their dynamics so please correct me if i accidentally mischaracterize any of your MC’s!

Runie 🌟🌼

- Xipil: It’d be a slowburn friendship to me! Specially cos Runie is so wary of his strength (he has abnormal strength.. like Shizuo Heiwajima strength) that in Step 1 and Step 2 he doesnt wanna scare Xipil away, so this would be another Runie Shield moment(tm) where Runie early on in Step 1 would just protect Xipil from anything dangerous and likes her (platonically) from afar. In late Step 2 I believe he’d work up the courage to talk to her.

It’ll start as an awkward friendship at first but once they slowly get to learn about each other more and bond (ALSO they get to bond over getting bullied so early on in their childhood which makes my heart ache 💔💔)

Their dynamic in a nutshell: Soft Stronk and Soft Sweet

- Metztli: Runie would come to respect and admire her but they wouldnt become realllyyy close. Maybe like, more than acquaintances but less than friends. He really admires Metztli’s attitude (he doesnt know abt her perfectionism) and sometimes will just give her random baked goods if he made too much. (Runie kinda feels a littleee intimidated by her so thats one of the reasons hes hesitant to talk to her skxnnsnd)

- Quetzalli: Oh Runie would LOVE to be part of her crew! You know that Markiplier jingle jangle clip? Id like to think thats how he made friends with her when they first met 😭 Runie lets her rant about her interests about being a Captain and her endless knowledge of ships even if he sometimes doesnt have a clue and gets confused but does his best.. even if he says something completely stupid and remembers the names of the ships wrong 😭😭

Id also like to think that whenever they go to the beach to hang out or go on a boat ride, Runie would prepare batches of treats that are marine themed and give them to Quetzalli so they can eat it together :’3

NOW ONTO KANRA!! She may be a bit difficult to get along with so.. most of them will either end in slowburn or strangers 🥲

Kanra🍓🐞

- Xipil: actually,, gets really interested with the friendship rocks thing that she does, prompting her to research about penguins, ended up liking that animal, and now studying Xipil because thats the closest thing to a penguin shes got.

She starts interacting with her. Not, like, in the traditional sense. But more like she sits next to her quietly as she reads or writes in her notebook, she chooses to spend time nearby Xipil or Metztli because she finds both of them interesting and not too annoying for her (in her terms)

I feel like she’d feel calm enough with Xipil that she tries to learn social cues and not be rude TwT.

- Metztli: Kanra would actively try and try to set her off 💔 she absolutely loves breaking down peoples facades so I dont think Metztli would honestly like her because of how manipulative and invasive she is. Unfortunately though I think Kanra would still do it for her studies and for her own personal interests. (See: her having subclinical Psychopathy and has a hobby of trying to gauge out peoples emotions and reactions because she can only feel emotions but its very muted.)

So im SO sorry Metztli but I think Kanra would still continue to do this to her all the way through Step 1 to Step 4 😭😭 (is this her way of making friends? Probably yes. Does she realise its rude and its offensive to Metztli? Nope not a clue)

- Quetzalli: Surprisingly I think with a bit of time and effort I think Kanra would come to like her. With Kanra’s fixation on sharks she wouldnt mind being a part of her crew. Although she’d probably get scolded by Runie if she starts being a bit mean and manipulative with Quetzalli which would in turn make Kanra learn more on social nuances and boundaries. I think theyd be friends in the middle of Step 2. And if they were, their dynamic would be the talker x listener because even though Kanra isnt good at talking, shes an amazing listener as well and can honestly have a whole 4 hour debate and conversation with Quetzalli about marine life and ships (she’d also learn more about ships for her. Kanra would never admit that she did it for her though LOL)

You gave me diabetes. But for real, you didn't mischaracterize them at all! I love how each of them have different interactions, and their dynamics too! The jingle jangle markiplier clip is now confirmed to be how Quetzalli became friends with Runie. Thank you for the wonderful drawing ideas too, by the way. AND SPEAKING OF RUNIE AND KANRA, I drew them. I sincerely hope I did it right, but I might post it later when it's complete. Also sorry about the yap and potential mischaracterize of your mcs, but here's how I think Xipil, Metztli, and Quetzalli would respond. Let me know if I need to correct anything!

Xipil would actually think Runie was cool, and be a bit confused with Kanra. But she'd definitely give them rocks to be their friend. She does eventually talk to him first, but she's so nervous it comes out soft. But once she realizes he's been bullied, she gets mad because she thinks he's a cool person and doesn't deserve it (he doesn't). For Kanra, Xipil would probably think Kanra likes rocks, so she'll constantly return with geodes and gems. But Xipil does dig holes in her front yard to find more. So it's like she's part mole too, because somehow she'll always find a way to dig deep. Sometimes it's awkward because she'll just pop out of a hole with rocks and covered in dirt with a blank look on her face.

Quetzalli would immediately try and get them hats too, explaining that they're very important crew mates. She'll make sure the crew mascot is a shark, and she definitely wouldn't mind if Runie got confused. She herself gets confused too, but she wouldn't notice Kanra being mean. Only when Runie points it out, but even then she forgives Kanra because despite going through so much, she can't hate Kanra. She doesn't think it's right, so she learns to sew shark plushes for her. She would consider them her best friends, because eventually she realizes that there's people who do like when she yaps. She would also ask Runie to teach her how to bake so she could give him stuff in return.

Metztli would slightly look at Runie confused, but she definitely makes him bracelets. She hopes she can try and reassure that she's nice, but she would genuinely care (platonically). She would a hundred percent insult people mean to Runie and Kanra. Metztli would make Kanra jewelry, but huff a bit. She eventually gets a bit used to it.

I can confirm the jingle jangle markiplier clip is exactly how they became friends. Quetzalli would be too distracted by the bell to run.
