have you tried with kernal-901227-01 (C64 rev.1 kernal) ?
Puzzles2-C64KernelRev2&3.crt works in GTK3VICE-3.9, latest build again not.At least I could have a look at it. Some pictures are nice, others are OK but "Me & My Cat" is ugly converted.
