I'm a new player. I'm a little confused about how to get the full version of the game at this point. It looks like I can purchase and download from Steam and edit a file to get access to it. Is this still true? Is this the best or only way?
The game available on Steam and GOG is the full version that was once available here on itch.io. There's no need to patch or otherwise modify those version, so you can just begin to play.
