Underlying gameplay code seems good, basic mechanics. What sort of shop/roguelike elements did you plan to implement? Menu subsystems need some work, there's no quit option for example, or a way to quit while in the middle of a game back to the main menu short of pressing alt+F4, and again to quit the game. Generally you want control scheme's to be available and inform the players of such, even if its just in the readme.

Graphics are also decent if basic. If your interested, you could try checking out the Hard Vacuum tileset, which is an open source set from a defunct RTS.

As for music, care to elaborate on the source and licensing of the music? I ask because charging money (even donations) with licensing or such involved can get a bit tricky.

Also, if you have any questions code wise, feel free to ask. I have a lot of experience working with python.
