I have only played for about an hour, but I can say with all confidence that this is now my favorite game. This is so fantastic, truly. One person?! TWO YEARS?! That's love and I can see it all over while playing. The menu and loading screens are beautiful to look at, I didn't mind staring at the loading screen one bit. It's really a feast for the eyes.

I played the game on all highest settings. It is astounding. The models are great quality, particularly the architecture, which is fun to walk around and admire.

Many people I spoke to had the usual asking for directions type interactions (which is quite helpful), but I have met a good handful of characters with unique and interesting dialogue. I can't wait to explore more of the social aspect.

I have played only a bit of my way into the storyline thus far, as I am relishing every single sweet, sweet aspect, but so far, the mechanics are working as intended and I have encountered no bugs or glitches. I am about to collect the six cloths.

I might be biased, as my favorite game was (seriously until I played this game, no joke) Spartacus Legends. My only wish was an exploration and social aspect and here we are!

What a wonderful game. Great job.

Hey, thank you so much for your comment!

I am really happy to hear that you had a positive first impression while exploring.

It always bothered me that most gladiator games focus too much on the fighters and their battles, while everything around them gets little attention. Especially in Spartacus, I really enjoyed the relationships between the Romans and always wished for a game where you could actually experience that side of the story.

Gopa is still in its early stages, but I hope to expand the social aspect so that it becomes really fun, letting you influence the fate of the city through your actions and intrigues, just like good old Batiatus would.

I would love to hear your feedback again once you have built up your Ludus and experienced your first fights.
Especially if you had any problems or if you have ideas for improvements.

Thanks again for playing!
