In fact, it can be defeated, but I haven't found a normal way to do so. I modified the character's maximum health and successfully defeated them. After entering the building, there's a research facility and a garden. Beyond the garden, the game currently only progresses this far.
what the second guard does will always be dependent on what the first guard does. memorize that and what the correct defenses are and you'll always be able to perfectly defend against the second guard
