Tho it's a very short prototype I think the idea is really good and it was enjoyable. The heads-up minimap could be bound to a hotkey and the weapons to 1-2-3... blending in the controls of a traditional shooter.
Also I think it's a really good / creative way how you handled the time shortage :D Rather than leaving it more or less unplayable you made it into a game that has a beginning and an end. This could have been a cliffhanger to a really short, comedig prologue chapter, having the protagonist waking up from his sleep to a sudden danger in the next one - or running this "nothing ever happens" gag for some short chapters before a sudden twist/turn of events. - Maybe more shapeshifters or an invasion? Having some reminiscense of Prey (2017) where shapeshifting enemies (among others) was a nice gimmick.
