Hi, can you tell what Asset Store plugins were used to get this quality of lighting and reflections in Unity?

Actually, I'd like to challenge the assumption that you need asset store plugins in the first place. In our humble opinion you don't need Asset Store plugins for Unity to look fantastic. We have achieved near photorealistic lighting and reflections in Unity, both in URP and HDRP (haven't tried built-in for a while) without using any Asset store plugins, in Unity versions 2021, 2022, 2023 and now in Unity 6.

I recommend to check out Unity tutorials and free samples, https://unity.com/blog/unity-6-graphics-learning-resources. Additionally, I recommend to learn about these keywords

  • Baked lighting
  • Light probes and adaptive probe volumes
  • Reflection probes
  • Post-Processing (bloom, tone mapping etc)
Good luck on your game development!

Thank you for your answer. Your game looks incredible! It is even more impressive that such high quality is possible without third party plugins. I am still learning Unity so your recommended keywords will be very helpful.

Just finished this on Steam, As a unity dev I suspected it would be possible to achieve this look in Unity but I was fully onboard with assuming it was unreal I'm ashamed to admit. I can't believe did the thing that everyone else has been doing for years! I made assumptions about Unity's graphics!

Would love to see any dev vids from you on your Youtube, from PBR setup, the way you block out levels to your thoughts on keeping a "walking sim" entertaining.
