Please try out PR #43 and let us know if it works for you

(1 edit)

Thanks! It doesn’t work on my Intel macOS Catalina computer. I’ll have to wait til I get my ARM one repaired

Weird! it should work.

There we have both archtectures:

  • ROMBundler-OSX-0.05-arm64.app.zip
  • ROMBundler-OSX-0.05-x86_64.app.zip
  • For intel, try x86

Oh I did! It doesn’t open on Intel at all

Please try placing the core and ROM files inside ROMBundler/Resource.

I tested it on my old Intel Mac running Catalina, and it worked well. Take a look at the screen recording for reference:

    Or PR https://github.com/kivutar/rombundler/pull/43

    Core+ROM

    Let us know the result

I'm on my Apple Silicon Mac with  MacOS Sierra. So I tried the above Arm download. It wouldn't open so I had to go to system preferences and make the system open it anyway. That means it's not notarized. Not too huge of an issue

But it wouldn't open once I did that. It crashed instantly during load and no error message came up

Next, I tried putting the file in the Resources and MacOS folders but it still crashed as before. Does the ROM need to be named anything specific?

I found the ROMBundler log and it says:

    Failed to load core

    Updated mappings

Great! So, you're using an intel x64. Because, sierra if i'm not wrong it's from 2016 and arm starts 2020 (m1).
Type uname -m on the terminal and you'll figure out.
Either way. Here you have a video step by step for  Intel or arm64

Yes. The files name should have the same as defined on config.ini

Those files both download as 0 bytes. Can you upload them to YouTube or something?

    Uploaded here https://github.com/kivutar/rombundler/pull/43

Thank you! I'll check it out
