I believe one of the reasons for the Kinetic Novel route was to reduce branching/dev time. Changing story and renders for different combinations of girls would be a headache, and so would changing Jack/Jackie's gender. So I wouldn't expect that to be added.

The lesbian content will also be limited - essentially some girls may be around/interact during mutual sex scenes with Jack. But the dev sees them more as "sister-wives" than actually into each other.

Sorry to hear that invalidates your ability to play, it is a wonderful story.

I don't think it would be so hard to add a female MC, as a bit of dialog changes and the intimate images could be with a strap-on instead.. But I don't know how long it would take to render the images differently..

The female MC could be of the tomboy variant as to not impact the story..

And for the Lesbian comments from the girls, they would still fit, if the female MC is a tomboy, as they are not into the girly girl type themselves..

Keep in mind that we're talking about a story that is almost twice as long as a Lord of the Rings book, with around 14,000 renders, and more than 300 videos currently.

Beyond that though, I just don't think that male and female characters are interchangeable in that way. A female MC would be written differently to a male MC, and all of the girls entering into lesbian relationships would be written differently to them entering into straight ones. A million tiny details and character interaction would have to be changed, for example:

  • A girl escaping her abusive mother to enter a lesbian relationship could make a great story, but to do it properly you would have to acknowledge the dynamics at play there, the discovery of her sexuality in her first relationship etc.
  • Two guys getting into a physical fight has wildly different implications to a guy and a girl getting into a physical fight. Everything around the fight, all of the bystanders' reactions to it etc would all have to be rewritten to accommodate the change
  • A bully doesn't use the same language and press the same buttons when they're targeting a man compared to when they're targeting a woman.
  • An older male mentor figure doesn't talk to a young women in the same way they talk to a young guy.
  • A female MC doesn't go into different bathrooms and changing rooms to the female LIs.
  • The main story is about an aristocratic system in which men and women have very different roles and responsibilities, none of which would make sense with a female MC.

By the time you're finished changing scenes, and then changing all of the other scenes that now need to be changed to fit in with the newly changed scenes, you've basically written an entirely new story.

It would take months and months of work, untold hundreds of hours, and probably wouldn't even be very good when you'd finished because the story was never designed to work with a female MC from the ground up.

So I just don't think it's possible – sorry!
