I was afraid there might be some trouble with the name input - it is something I will improve upon soon!
But I hope we find some workaround in the meantime. One thing you could try is not opening the name enter dialog. When the prompt for the new name is shown with "Charlie" as the default, just press down so the Accept button is highlighted (so the keyboard overlay is never opened) and it hopefully should work.
If you like to help me further debug this I would require some additional info:
Do you play on Windows Desktop? And are you using a controller or mouse + keyboard?
If you can share any screenshots or videos that would probably also help, you can send them to my mail (steffen@animaisland.com).
Hope the workaround helps. I try to upload a fix in the next few days.

Hello! Thanks for the reply and the suggestion! I tried not inputting a name as well and was pretty much stuck on the name input box. I'll log back on when I get the chance and screenshot/provide more detailed information. For now, here is a summarized version! :D
