Iguana was one of the nameless minions of The Soulless (Taliesin). Maybe I should’ve referred to her by a number to emphasize that, but her existence was so insignificant to her master that even that wasn’t necessary. She probably felt embarrassed about not having a name and decided to adopt one of the words the mace-goat used to describe her during their earlier conversation/hallucination.
On the other hand, all the Witches use "arcane names" — aliases adopted to protect themselves from sorcery. In some Coldrunates, knowing someone’s true name grants power over that individual.
Her motivations beyond abandoning her old life aren’t really clear in this story. My idea is to let her develop more personality throughout future adventures. For now, what is certain is that contact with the Peacemaker has awakened a sense of individuality in this former minion.
