So I found this game from Haelian over on Youtube (I noticed in his video's comments section the devs of the game had commented so I know they've seen it).

I came over here and downloaded it.

My computer immediately detected (and thankfully successfully blocked) a TROJAN from it.

HELLO???????

P.S. And before anyone says "Oh but it might have just been a false alarm", both Windows Security AND Opera GX flagged it. And Windows Security found a specific file in the folder, LITERALLY NAMED "Trojan". So no, not a false alarm.

Hi, we are aware that Windows is flagging the executable and we're looking into it. We focus on the WebGL build for game jams and just build from Unity, zip, and publish for the other platforms. I'd be curious to see what file is in the folder called "Trojan", because I've looked through the entire zip and found no such thing.

It flagged on the .part download (basically just a tmp file in Windows) with the following: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?name=Trojan%3AScript%2FWacatac.B!ml&threatid=2147735503

It’s not at all uncommon for Windows to flag on zip archives though, and I am curious to see if it happens with a 7z, gzip, tar, or rar as well.

Honestly though, the best way to keep from false flags is to just submit it to the various AV/AM providers: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission for MS Defender (as an example)

To the OP for this thread: Trojan:SOMETHING does not mean it was found in a Folder named Trojan, it means that the Family of the malware is Trojan, and the “Species” of Trojan is whatever follows the colon.

.....Oh. Well, thanks for letting me know. -w-"

I downloaded the zip and gave it a scan. No threats found.

It could be from somewhere else for you so you might have to check your entire system just in case.

The issue was already solved. Turns out my computer was just flagging the file as a trojan.

Also it said it was from the game files itself, so if it actually was a virus, it wouldn't have been from somewhere else.

Thanks anyway though
