This is a really fun game and I love the aesthetics and the unique approach to a slimmed down exploration/4x kind of game.

So far the only major problem is that I don't understand the AI players' disposition towards me and when I should expect an attack. Sometimes the AI players seem very aggressive and attack right away and sometimes they seem to be content to coexist for most of the game. I'm not sure if they just attack whenever I'm weaker than them or if they have random "moods" towards me or whatever.

Also when I first started playing the game I didn't understand what was happening when an AI player attacked because there's no message or anything indicating you are under attack from another player so from a new player's perspective it just seems like whatever the last action they took suddenly resulted in a battle that causes their camp/city to burn down without warning. 

But otherwise I'm really enjoying this game! It's a great idea and it has a really nice charm to it.

Thank you for playing the great feedback! Good point on the AI attacking you. I will add a message before the attack plays out. Also yes at this point that AI is mostly random in choosing actions. I want to have some kind of disposition indicator and agro build up hence the faces above each flag. Also a way to create allies that can trade and have coop encounter raids.
