when downloading a new update, do i overwrite the old files? or delete the old files and reinstall with the new new zip-file just reinstall cleanly?

saves are stored seperately in your appdata/roaming folder in your userfolder. it is recommended (but not outright required) to reset objects on your save when updating to a new version, or start a new file, as things can break between updates.
