I've actually considered it; I didn't allow Itch pricing because of focus. I didn't want to have to manage a bunch of different vendors and such for the project, so I wanted to keep options narrow for simplicity's sake. I'm tempted to open up a Ko-Fi just for donations, and if I do I'll likely do so sometime around the end of the month and start of May. We'll see!
But most importantly, I don't want people to feel like they have to donate. Void Dreaming definitely needs funding if I'm going to make it the best it can be, but I understand that times are hard and people are doing it tough. The global economy is... let's say not great right now? So if people can't sub (or donate when the time comes), I absolutely don't mind. It's why I want the public version to always be an option for people to enjoy!
