It has repeatedly been stated that the 1.0 is going to be the graphics update, when the old sprites and scenes are going to be replaced with new ones to attract more public.So there are two possibilities:

The last story update comes out in 1.0 with the graphic update
First the story then the 1.0

Ah, thank you. I missed that. I was getting confused because it feels like there's still some way to go with the story.

Oh there is a lot we have to see before the end of the story. Things like:

SPOILERS BELOW

Fight versus Indra
The Origin/Eye storyline
Ella's plans
Michael and Alice coming back
Tanos storyline + MC's father stuff
Update to the side characters' stories

And this is only what I can think of. Surely there is more.
