Noob question, what's different between this and the very similarly named The Exile of Aphrodisia 2023? Is it just the three things mentioned on that page (cursed artifacts, world map, and player perks)?

Essentially yes, the game was remade in the Unity engine, added support for 3rd party content, added a few smaller features, and reworked a handful of the player transformations. Most of the written content remains the same.
