Honestly I agree,
There's nothing wrong with having a set protagonist, but I feel like adding a "remove sprite" option would go a long way, alot of VN readers like to imagine their own MC's so they can enjoy the game a little better.
Where Winter Crows Go is a good example, that also has a great set protagonist MC, but it allows the readers an option and thus allows a greater amount of people to enjoy it :)
