Played for about 10 minutes before giving up. Seems promising but I couldn't figure out what to do, I didn't play those other games this was inspired by, maybe if I had I could've figured it out. There are a lot of buttons, maybe introduce those one by one or add tooltips? During the day I was able to advance by talking to women but I couldn't figure out what to do at night. At one point got to a screen where I had to select a positive thing and a negative thing (this was not clear). Also had to resize my window to close the newspaper.

I kept wanting to to move the camera with WASD, maybe make that move the camera around or change the background so it's clear the camera isn't supposed to move.

Good luck, seems like a promising game with a little ui improvement, maybe steal it from the games you were inspired by.

Really appreciate the feedback. I'll add some in game guidance tools. I'm trying to reduce reliance on keyboard for the game (currently only the arrow matching minigame uses keyboard controls), so I don't think I'll implement a WASD system for the camera, but I'll look into implementing camera movement via mouse. At present, you can reposition the camera by pressing the camera reset button and zooming in via your mouse's scroll wheel.

I've added tootips and tutorials on what to do and how to progress. Added tooltips for all of the UI buttons. I've also implemented the ability to move the camera by having the mouse near the edge of the screen.
