Hmm, its tough to say! they're pretty different tbh, even though there's similarities for sure. I think they both offer unique experiences, with stardust being a bit more of a platformer-type game a la Celeste. Could be fun to try Cave Story first though so you kind of get the inspirations more clearly when going into Stardust.
