I really love the game but getting set up and working with the printouts is a bit of a barrier to play. I understand that it is a welcome distraction from screen time. However, I might play more often if there was a way to play with a digital version. For example, the solo RPG kit, a plugin for obsidian from Alex Kurowski, seems like a viable option. Has anyone created a version to play with obsidian or some other tool? Is that something that would require authorization? Is that something you would encourage or support?

A community member was working on implementing a full app-based version of GLIDE last year, which was to be free for players to use. They took some time away, but I can reach out to see if they want it to be publicly available? Give me a few days and I'll update you on the status.

Excellent

  thank you!

So, the community member is not interested in releasing the tool at this time.

I will however look into Obsidian and the solo toolkit you mentioned. If I catch on easily enough, I will put together something that is free for all GLIDE players.

Thanks again for bringing the accessibility to my attention. I'm striving to make my stuff more accessible overall, and this is likely a good starting point into thinking about digital tools!

Great!  I don't think it would be too difficult.  I'm working with obsidianttrpgtutorials dot com and the obsidian plugin - RPG Solo Kit to 'homebrew' Glide into Obsidian.  I suppose I could (we could?) use Dice20 or some other VTT (virtual Table Top), but I like learning about Obsidian, as I use it for my knowledge management system.

I tried to play another SoloRPG but kept wanting to play Glide.  I love the flow of the exploration and the simplicity of it.  The mechanics don't get in the way of the creative imagination of the story and the game.

When I come up with something, I could share it here or a private repo.  Can we Direct message on Itch.io?  Anyway, thanks for your work and for engaging with me.

Send me an email through my website. We can get communication going from there.
