I have been working on using percussion in an ancillary way rather than allowing it to steal the focus or be relied on and your comment makes me think I succeeded in what I was trying to do here! You are right about the main theme. I realized it pretty late and tried to add the main theme earlier in the viola, but it ended up sounding a little out of context. So this is what I ended up with, but my next main theme will certainly introduce the main motif earlier. Thank you so much once again!
