EDIT: We have a full team of 5 - not looking for anyone else as of now
Original post:
Hi, I'm Nuno, 32 year old hobbyist game-making person.
I love making games and want to do more collaboration, so here I am!
I'd like to to join or form a team of 3-5 people
1. What can I do? [Skills and Abilities]
Here's something I worked on recently: https://nunodasneves.itch.io/dungeon-wizard
Programming: A+
I write code for a job, have made games from scratch and in various engines
Happy to use any engine or framework. Would prefer to use Godot for this jam
Game Design: B
I think I've made some fun games
Art (2D, pixel, animation): B
I have decent art fundamentals and know how to do animations and stuff
Production and Organizing stuff: C
I know how to use Trello
Sound, Music: C
I can make basic sound and music
Narrative, Writing: C-
I can write words, if pressed
2. What would I like to focus on? [something you already know how to do, or developing a weaker area?]
Programming, game design, but I don't want to be the only programmer/engine-wrangler.
Happy to fill in as needed for art/producing, if I have the time
3. What can't I do?
Not really interested in doing sound/music, writing/story stuff
4. What don't I care about - i.e. other people can have "full reign" over?
Art, music, writing
5. What is my time commitment to this project?
I work a full time job. I can do 1 hour on weekdays, maybe 8 hours across a weekend.
6. What kind of games do I like? What genres or game types do I enjoy playing or working on, or would like to try making?
I've recently enjoyed titles such as Pseudoregalia, UFO 50, Animal Well, Balatro, Factorio, Hades, Thronefall, Slay the Spire, Arco, A Difficult Game About Climbing, Magic and Mayhem (1998), and Super Smash Brothers Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube (2001).
So you know, roguelike/lites, metroidvanias, adventure/zelda-likes, and a bunch of stuff.
I'm open to different ideas about what to make.
