Awesome vibe of a game, but I don't think it works on Mac Silicon Chips, such as M2 and M3. Haven't been able to get past the bus ride in the beginning
So I don't think this is solved the problem for your particular case based on the person I was working this out with, but for anyone else who finds it, I was able to replicate it on my m2 chip mac and in the launcher switching the "graphics device to use" from 'Apple M2' to 'automatic'.
