If I'm understanding correctly, can this be used to make a whole collection of sound files "crusty" in a batch?
Currently this tool only support 16/24/32 sample size and 44k/48k/96k sample rate.
Regarding a collection of files: yes it will maintain the folder structure of the input folder in the output folder. Ensure output folder is empty.
Main use for the tool is to convert audio samples for hardware devices such as Sonicware SmplTrek / Roland SP404Mk2.
