Thanks for playing. I have played through the game multiple times and not encountered that bug so hopefully it is rare and if you play through that section again you won’t get it again.
I tried it again, and I could go on a little further with the mission vault. But I have to say that the game is quite buggy. The aliens stuck more and more often in higher level in the background. This kind of background you have to shoot to make your way through to the exit.
Sometimes an alien stuck in just one spot, shaking and moving wildly, but traped. And the really bad is you can't shoot them. So you have to sacrifice your life energy to clear this spot and then terminate the alien. That costs life energy, sucks.
Another bug i discovered is that you can terminate aliens sometimes through solid walls. Give you a litte edge, but also a flaw.
If the developer gets rid off this bugs, then I would say it is a very good game.
Yes, it is possible, mostly. But sometimes they stuck so wierd so you are not able to jump, shoot and free them without any damage. You have to clear the the spot with your sheriff's body and you lose health. I have screenshots if you like to see it.
So would it not better when die aliens don't get traped in this web substance as you named it. Basically they do not stuck in. Makes not much sense to me.
Maybe it is possible to change this behavior in a future update.
Today I finished the game despite some little annoying bugs.

- the boss of each chapter is to easy.
- the end boss of the total game is to easy.
- aliens do not stuck weirdly
- a better distribution of health power-ups.
Sometimes in no time 2 or more power-ups are showing up, despite your health is at maximum.
- skill levels like novice - amateur - professional
The list does not have to end hear, perfection is as usual impossible.
I really had a lot of fun with this game. The game is so motivating and keeps you going, addictive as hell. For a long time the best game I played on the C64. You certainly put a lot of time and effort into this game, and my whining is in some ways exaggerated.
