Hello,

we contacted you some time ago to know if you were interested in publishing our WHDLoad version of your game on your official itch.io page, but we have not received a response yet.

In the meantime, since someone requested it, we have released it on our clouds, for those interested you can download it from here:

(LINK REMOVED DUE TO DEVELOPER REQUEST)

Obviously our proposal is always valid, if you like and want to publish our version on your itch.io contact us by email or on facebook so we can pass it on to you or you can also download it directly from our servers and include it on itch.io, for us it's the same.

We remain available for anything.

Best Regards

Amiga Vault Team

This is currently a demo. There is no point in doing this as there will always be updates. I also don't think it's ok to just do this.

Hi,

Actually if a game, even if WIP, is already playable, technically well made and take a certain interest in the Amiga community, it is usually converted to whdload. To give a current example: Krogharr, of which just yesterday the imminent release of the definitive version of the game was announced, when it came out in demo version a year ago it was immediately adapted to whdload by the official whdload.de team and included among their installers to download on the site. This example is just one of many that demonstrates how converting a WIP game to whdload makes sense if it is a game appreciated by the community and that generates a certain hype, and according to our Team and the Amiga community in general, your game has these requirements and theoretically this positive feedback from us regarding your game should please you.

Considering that several users have requested a whdload version, that our announcements on Facebook have received dozens of likes and that our team is able to keep up with the gradual updates of the games, to update their whdloads in real time and to provide them immediately to the developers, in reality what we have done and what we usually do is not only sensible but often appreciated by most developers.

Obviously if you think differently we respect your opinion even if we don't share it, and if as you wrote you don't think what we did is right we are ready to remove the post and the link to our Facebook page here, but here too we want to clarify one thing: what we do we don't do it only for us, but also for the developers and for the entire Amiga community, and we try to do it in the most correct way possible, with a positive and proactive spirit, with the aim of collaborating and helping the developers in every possible way. For example, in our announcement post, to highlight your work, we reported the link to your itch.io page, and if you think about it carefully, considering that between pages and groups we at AMIGA VAULT have more than 7000 users and that another user tagged our post on an Amiga group of over 66,000 users you understand that this for your game and you it is a remarkable form of advertising, which is done out of passion and without asking for anything in return, and we believe that this should at least be appreciated even if not fully shared. Certainly the Amiga community has shown to appreciate it, because it finds the versatility of the whdload format and the quality of our conversions useful otherwise it would not request them if they were useless.

Anyway, if you want us to remove the announcement post here on your itch.io we will do it right away, also we would like to know if when you release the full game, at that point you would like to have our whdload version, in that case we will gladly share it with you as we did, do and will do with everyone☺️

Best Regards

It's nice of you to ask, and I’m sure your request is well meant. However, I have not agreed to any collaboration. I don’t think it’s okay for my lack of response to be taken as consent. If I am interested in a collaboration in the future, I will reach out.

At the moment, I am not interested. However, I enjoy being part of the Amiga community and contributing to it myself. I value the exchange within the scene and appreciate everyone who shares a passion for the Amiga.

That being said, I will think about it. What bothered me was that a decision was made in advance without receiving a response from me. Before making any commitments, I need to do my own research and carefully consider it.

I also kindly ask you to remove the related version from your social media, as no collaboration has been agreed upon. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi,

We are really sorry that this misunderstanding has been created and that our initiative has hurt your sensitivity, obviously as you said everything was done in good faith, since certainly our work and our posts have not caused you any damage on the contrary it may have contributed to highlighting your work; also considering that for another of your games, Dr. Dangerous, a generic WHDLoad version for games in scorpion engine and compatible with the 500 mini, has been published from your part on your itch.io, we thought we had done something useful and welcome, but evidently from your point of view it is not so indeed having interpreted your silence as consent has annoyed you and for this we apologize.

On the other hand, your silence could be interpreted as a simple lack of time to answer and not necessarily a refusal of cooperation, so it would have been appropriate for you to respond clearly and not ignore our posts for over 10 days.

As for your request to remove the related version from our social media frankly it seems a bit excessive, because it is not a post announcing a collaboration between us but simply the release of a new Amiga game and consequently of our WHDload version of the same, and for consistency you should ask the same to those like us (even if not with the same quality and initiative) who created their own whdload version of yours game or even to those who announced the release of your game on their Facebook groups even if in our opinion it would be madness because it is all advertising in favor of you and your game.

Nevertheless, even if we have diametrically opposed points of view on the matter, to meet your needs and avoid further misunderstandings we will remove the post from our public facebook groups/pages.

However, if you change your mind about collaborating with us, perhaps for the final version of this game or for your further future projects, we remain absolutely at your disposal.

Best Regards
