Another question of the day! I might make this a routine lol. Here's the question:
How good is your MC at school subjects? In my school, 5th graders learn English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Arts & Crafts, P.E, Health Education, and a Language of their choice! Idk what they teach in American Schools but that's what I had to learn..
My MC, MianMian is a "school-y" kid as Qiu would say, she likes to read, so it just makes it easier for her to study! (In my old school, we had many school subjects, like Geography, History, English, P.E, Arts, Science, Math, Biology, Spanish, Grammar, Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, Philosophy, Languages and Music, and i always liked to study before every class just to make sure i could answer correctly!) MianMian is very hard working on her studies too as i made her thinking about my old days in School!! She always does her homework early and likes to write because she thinks its relaxing! 😺
Also, she can be very anxious if she has a test without knowing the subject, so she hates surprise tests for sure. Even thought she can do it with little dificulty, it still makes her nervous. 😰
i feel like Jude would be a little above average since he loves science stuff and good at learning new languages but he would be worse at stuff like english cause he's dyslexic as well (i had to give him my entire academic background), Fio on the other hand would ROCK english and maths but be a pretty average student due to lack of interest in other classes, also she would love P.E since she likes running while Jude hates it (from my experience. AGAIN 😭)
Ian is in theory the best in the entire school at her subjects because she is incredibly smart and could easily deal with any subject given to her in school. In practice however, her grades are barley passing because she finds it all incredibly boring and a waste of time to go there, she wholeheartedly believes school is not for the higher thinking.
i feel like Runie would have a hard time at school due to his narcolepsy. BUT if its managed by the teacher well and he has the right medication (plus letting him take short naps) he would be great!
Runie would love PE and Art, and he would excel in Health Education and English. He’s.. below average in Math and Social Studies (unless someone explains it to him in a way he could understand) and absolutely despises Science. But only some topics in that subject, it really depends LOL.
That’s pretty much American school subjects.
Kathryne is good at Math, Science, Social Studies. As a foreigner, she struggles with English and Language courses. Being blind, she’s bad at Arts & Crafts. Then she’s not great at Health ED and isn’t very athletic so no for P.E..
Bacon struggles with most subjects due to his learning disability but he’s really good at Social Studies, P.E., and Arts & Crafts. Everything else is really hard for him.
Maeve is NOT good at school, she has no interest in Science, Math, Health Education so she struggles to remember those things but she tries her best. She loves English and she's good at it, the only problem is she's dyslexic so it makes things difficult at times. For Language she's actually studying English so she can speak it better since her first language is French. She like's Arts and Crafts a LOT and may or may not specifically make things only to give them to people when she's finished...For P.E she lowkey likes it, she just gets tired easily and is NOT good at sports
Haruki is the straight A student, smartest kid in class....except for P.E this guy has faked injuries MULTIPLE times to get out of it, for his chosen language it's ALSO English just to get better at it since he was raised to be bilingual but since he was born in Japan he focused on japanese
Mari is a gifted kid.. except with 2/3rds of the smarts and twice the burnout 🥲She still gets fairly good grades regardless. She gets tops in English and Arts and is pretty good in math. She genuinely despises Science though, it's one of the things holding her back and she's struggling a bit in Hindi (she wanted to do it bc she was insecure about not knowing her mother tongue). She's actually shit at PE due to her stamina and severe lack of fucks to give, but her speed helps her enough.
Kel would be A tier student (still a gifted kid though, starting to burn out in Step 2) he would do well in most subjects especially in english BUT would also be crap at PE due to his size.
Elias would get average grades, halfway due to him needing to go to the nurses office occasionally and being bullied. He doesn't do PE but would likely be a topper in Health Education for obvious reasons.
