I covered it pretty fast with a big bedroom, a storage room, a crafting room with all my stations, a storage room and I haven't put down a bathroom or a dining room or a Kitchen.
It may be my fault because I like big spaces, but I filled it all really fast once I gathered the materials
NPCs give you a key to their home and access to their plot at high relationship. Hayden's, Aldric's, and Rosalyn's plots should all connect to the purchasable plot seamlessly.
