I'm not a fan of the story with the VR concept in adult games. Everything that happens in a virtual world feels fake, cheap, and ultimately unrewarding. The emotional and physical connection between characters is completely replaced by digital interactions that lack real stakes. The sensation of actual body contact—something that should be intimate and meaningful—is reduced to nothing more than simulated VR porn. After everything the MC goes through, is that supposed to feel like a satisfying reward? The journey should lead to something tangible, something that feels earned. Instead, it’s just a glorified fantasy within a fantasy, which makes everything feel pointless.
I gotta admit, the animation is insanely well-done, and I respect the effort put into it. Some lewd scenes happen both inside and outside the VR, which is cool, but personally, I’m just not a fan of VR porn. It feels less immersive and kinda takes away the impact for me. But hey, I get why some people enjoy it....it’s just not my thing....have a nice day!
Nah if you actually played it you know that most of the lewd scenes take place in the real world and not the VR space.
Not to mention if you played the game you'd know that this is an isekai story masquerading as a Ready Player One clone, with the "VR Game" actually being some sort of Astral Plane of existence, with the servers being different worlds. Hell, in the latest update alone the main character gains the ability to jump between worlds and even brings some love interests along the ride, so your arguments about the "VR component trivializing intimate moments because everything is virtual" actually falls fucking flat as far as this game is concerned.
I also don't like VR-related content because it all has no impact on the characters' lives. The whole adventure and struggles are just meaningless fiction to them, from which they can't gain or lose anything, which is why it's hard for me to feel anything other than disappointment (And of course, I agree with what you wrote above). I'm happy that I found someone who thinks similarly
