Hi, I think there's a bug when you buy the map, you stop being able to move with the map off, and you can't interact with anyone because interacting with npcs (including chef) requires you to close the map.
Thank you for reporting this bug. It also happened to me during development. I made a fix for it and it stopped happening but I guess I didn't cover all cases.
I will try to reproduce the issue and fix it again.
