Thanks for playing, and I really appreciate the feedback! I completely agree with you, the game is quite basic, mainly because I ran out of time. This was my first-ever game in Godot, and I not only had to make the game but also learn the engine from scratch.
Some of my original ideas included multiple enemies with unique attacks and even a boss fight, but I ultimately had to scrap them due to time constraints. The few sounds you hear in the game were added just 20 minutes before the deadline, and some, like the hurt sound and consumable sound, are actually bugged and not playing at all.
One feature that is technically in the game but not enabled is character customization. Originally, I had a button that let you choose different characters and customize their colors, hair, skin, clothes, etc. Each character also had their own special attack and ability. However, since I didn’t have time to finish the UI, and scrapping the enemies meant I also had to remove their attacks and abilities i decided to scrape the customization entirely and the game ended up being even more basic than I had planned.
That said, considering this was just a small two-day project and my first attempt, I think it turned out pretty decent 😁
