The new combat gameplay in version 0.4.0.5 (Episkey) is very frustrating, unlike the previous version, where what used to value strategy now seems like defeating the boss is just a matter of luck to get the right cards.

Hi! The previous combat system essentially led to you grinding for maximum upgrades for a long time, and then defeating everyone using just one button. That’s definitely not something you could call "strategy." 

The new system isn’t perfect, but it’s certainly more varied. We’ve already planned several changes and are open to hearing other suggestions. You can read more about it in the latest devlog.
