You could try cleaning up the application data, what game version were you playing?
v0.29. As for cleaning up application data, I have no clue how.
It is somewhere in the phone settings -> applications and there search for game name. Alternatively you can uninstall game and install it again that should clean everything too.
I did that & it lost all my progress.
You can use skip content to jump to any story point of the game and continue from there. Have it helped with the original issue?
I loved the game, but this is too frustrating. I just uninstalled & deleted the files.
