Well, not exactly. There are a few storylines where your guess is correct. But on the other hand, one of the most important lines (about the cat girl Cassie) is radically changed, with only a few old fragments remaining. There are completely new storylines. Some of them are really additions to what was already there, but there are also much more significant ones that change the game as a whole.
