The art style and overall gameplay are interesting, but being sent right back to the beginning after each failure is too frustrating and punishing. I suggest that instead of returning to the start, players should return to the previous stage after taking damage.

Thank you for playing! I felt the game would be most rewarding if you could learn from the beginning each time, but that clearly wasn’t the case… I might update this after the jam.
