you would think that a mean person is nice too if all anyone did was hit and try to kill you, and about the last bit i am wired a bit different than normal people so as long as a vampire is nice i would not mind them drinking my blood and similar things, she is kept a prisoner there just as much as me so i would not be angry at her and would not blame her in the slightest
by "wired different" I assume you mean neurodivergent, not sure what that has to do with what I said. I speak from experience when I tell you, you're not gonna be the nicest person in the world to a random child you have never met before right after an attempt on your own life. suicide is the most rock bottom you can get, and its not just that moment its multiple years of your life being terrible to lead up to you wanting to do that. yeah Lera freaked out a bit and yelled at her but she has been having a shit life up to that point and then went thru a confusing scary ass experience that she thought Nika was responsible for.
I'm also kinda projecting onto Lera a bit but she feels very trans woman coded and this story takes place in post communist Russia... when I tell you she had a shit life I mean she had a terrible life filled with bullying, hate crimes, and transphobia.
i understand, and by wired differently i was meaning my emotions and not neuro divergency, i am a psychopath so i do not feel anger like you do so it makes it hard to understand what people are feeling, so all i can understand would be the fact that she was rude to the child, i know that emotions can possess people and make them do things that would be considered insane but that was still rude regardless, she was mean, no excuses!
im telling you as someone who has tried to kill them self it is very much an excuse for being a bit of a dick that is literally the most rock bottom you can get after I attempted I was completely drained and dint have the energy to be kind this doesn't make me a bad person. I feel like you're looking at this too black and white with absolutely no grey area. she. tried. to. kill. herself. and. she. failed. that is literally one of the most terrible things you can experience. I understand you understand emotions differently but give her a bit of sympathy?? you cant expect a person to be perfect after experiencing trauma.

lera is definitely rude when being realistic about the situation, nice girl saves her life and is worried about her, tries to help, clearly lives in a non hospitable building/area, lera doesn't care about the girl at all and tells her off several times over nothing. several things in this don't make any reasonable sense, but that's a common plot driving sacrifice in amateur media.
