It reminded me a bit of the anime Haibane Renmei, where the main characters are angels who don't remember much about their past and can only wear things they've given away (usually used). Additionally, they live in mysterious places, although in the anime, it's a more rural setting rather than a city slum.
The selfie mechanics, along with the clothing options and the setting, reminded me of my youth when cell phones were new and you wanted to take pictures of everything or take pictures with every iconic thing you could find, especially landscapes, flowers, and insects.
I hope the game continues to expand, including adding animations for selfies like waving, or removing some of the security tapes so you can continue exploring that run-down neighborhood. But I can say that I enjoyed it.
