What I notice is that the ship is very slow compared to fast bullets and enemies. (It doesn't have to be easy)
You already have a powerup for the bomb.
Can you maybe make something like Gradius / Nemesis, that you can take a coin for speed?

Increasing it will unfortunately create problems... I know it takes time to get used to it, and especially to know the game well to progress as best as possible. The game is designed to be difficult, played with a lot of memorization, concentration and skill^^ Hang in there, I really want the player to feel self-satisfaction at having reached the end! (varying the speed with an option system, to be adapted according to the different segments of the game, was unfortunately far too complicated for a fairly short game...). A hint: collect each coin well and identify the strategic moments to use your bombs and get through the most difficult moments of the game! (^^ )
