Thanks so much for the feedback! We totally had plans to add the grid, and a lot more other things we made, but we had a couple unfortunate incidents come up during the month that threw a wrench into everything haha. All of your notes make sense and and I had similar thoughts myself when playtesting.
Despite the unfortunate combat-freezing bug, I tried to play the game using only the other abilities and it almost adds its own unique strategy challenge lol. Clearly that's not intentional nor ideal, but it does give a better experience.
