I don't know if I've ever posted here, but I wanted to say that this is one of my favorite games. It feels so hyper-targeted at me with actual real gameplay, customization options, and story.
Being transgender, a game where the protagonist turns into a woman appeals to me, but most of the ones I played before Between were all only ever about the transformation, and the characters weren't able to be fully developed people because of that. With how Between works in the transformation elements into the story, it turns them from a cute sprite into a person I can genuinely relate to, and sometimes get gender euphoria from too. (Every time I replay the game I speedrun trying to get the max available acceptance, of course ;D)
In particular the sidestory 'Photo at Imea' was... visceral to me. It made me feel so much more connected with this character I've been projecting my own gender issues on for... maybe years.
I'm incredibly excited to see where the story goes from here. From the personal stories to the overarching plot, I am invested. And not only am I invested in the story, I'm invested in the gameplay. The effort you put into the mechanics is inspiring, and I want to start trying to make something of my own because of it.
Though, speaking of gameplay, how does Eat/Devour the Rich work? I went back to the chapter 2 superboss, but I keep getting wiped by it. I feel like there's some mechanic I'm doing wrong.
Anyways, that's all from me! Thank you so much for making an incredible game.
(Also the Night Out outfit is the most gender thing I've ever seen, god I wish I could wear that.)
(EDIT:) Oh! And the weapon combo system! The way it allows for full-party customization of powerful attack abilities, and how it lets you 'sacrifice' someone's turn to cause something stronger or more situationally useful to happen! I was terrible at it at first, but it's grew on me as possibly my favorite mechanic yet implemented. I just wanted you to know how much I loved that!
