I like the variety of movable backgrounds, they adds a bit of dynamism and sense of place to the story! Pausing for choices could be beneficial for faster readers, I didn't expect it as I advanced through the text and picked the default option on my first playthrough. The music is fitting for the tone of the scenes and the text appearance sound effect is unintrusive and adds a nice sense of tempo.

You've got a very distinct style of presentation, it definitely gives the game its own identity and atmosphere.

thank you! I'll see what I can do, I think it is possible to change that in settings but I am unsure

A simple way could be to set the default as an uninteractable third option at the top that says "make your choice". That way players will need to hit an arrow key to progress and can't make an accidental decision.
