Interesting little demo, but if i may suggest, the puzzle thing is really inconvenient for a novel unless it actually translates to an actual puzzle that the character have to solve.
You did a good job with the AI but the story is upfront quite simplistic and lacks corruption, she accepted her fate right away, consider adding something like a prince that wants to do her or some other sort of event to break her shell at first.
The same music through an entire game could be annoying, consider silence for more thoughtful scenes and calm fantasy music like this for exploration as well as other songs depending on event going forwards.
You might want to decide if this will be kinect novel or not upfront and plan the story around it. Good luck

Thanks for the feedback. This is just a demo that i'm mainly using to test the engine i'm building for it so the story is not very well thought out and the main active elements like the puzzles are just forced into it for testing purposes. "Elisa Has The Inventory Skill" which is the main project i'm working on using my engine has more thought put into the story and other activity elements.
