It’s not too often that a game jam game sticks with me well after I’ve finished playing it, but this is definitely one of those rare cases.

Having a Papers Please style game about for-profit health insurance is a pretty brilliant concept, and you executed it beautifully. The creepy sterile old school Macintosh aesthetics, judicious use of disturbing music and sound design, and the grim real-world horror of the subject matter all came together to drive this one home for me.

The inability to move the windows around that so many other people have mentioned was a small nuisance, I’ll admit, but not a huge issue for me. I personally didn’t mind the minor learning curve of figuring out the system either, because it sort of simulated the stress of the insurance worker in a way. But it does make sense that some people might want a tutorial.

Overall, fantastic game. Super impressive for the scope, especially given that this appears to be a one-person show. I hope you make this into an expanded game at some point. I’d absolutely play it.

I really appreciate your feedback and am glad to hear that you enjoyed the game! It's great to see that the themes resonated with you and I am pleased to know that you valued the "real world horror" angle. (An expanded game is definitely an interesting suggestion- a lot did get cut due to the time limitations of the jam).
