Fun idea!  The time limits felt fair and I could tell the game has been playtested because it is well-balanced.  I would like to see some iteration on this idea because I think it has a lot of mileage.  For now the mechanics are a bit shallow, but you know that already.  One idea would be to have the inspector check all the player's previous hiding locations every level, so they keep having to find more and more creative solutions, like under the floorboards, in the trash or the oven, etc.   Impressive work and thanks for reaching out on my thread :)
